Hohoho, welcome to day 5.

Today, we'll focus on something which is paramount in the age of AI.
Prompting.

More specifically, how to produce A-tier prompts.

Prompts which generate output at a level of quality that put most to shame.

But why do we think prompts are important?

Because if you don't know how to produce proper prompts, you'll suffer from the "average" output by AI.

You see, AI like ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini etc are great. But when everyone uses them. All output becomes dead average.

It regresses to become the mean.

It's 3 years since ChatGPT was released, and early movers had the advantage.

Now everyone uses it, and have used it for years.

So just asking ChatGPT to do your marketing won't cut it.

It will be dead average at best.

Unless you level up your prompting.

And that is what we will do in today's gift.

The process of producing prompts

Already so far in the Christmas Calendar, we have shared plenty of prompts.
And more…

All of these are good, and based on a prompt creation process we've developed the past 4 years.

The process goes like this.

Step 1: Reverse engineer the task

The first step is reverse-engineering the process and task you want to emulate with a prompt.

This is where you use an AI like ChatGPT, Gemini or Claude to help you create a defined scope of what the task is.

It is used to build the scope like what the objective of the task is, what inputs are required and a list of sample outputs for reference.

Together, all of this turns into a scope-spec for the task at hand. We use this to draft the prompt next.

Step 2: Draft the prompt

Once we have the task scoped out, we want to take that and produce the draft of the prompt.

What this really does is that it "productifies" a task.

Making a task not require human intervention (potentially), and producing a product that can take input and product output.

Step 3: Test it

There is really no prompt for this specific step, it’s more just test it.

Give it output, and review the output you get if it’s satisfactory. When testing, take note of what's good, what's bad and save the samples.

Step 4: Feedback and optimization

The final step is to feed the entire "current prompt" and the feedback you have, and optimize it.

There are 3 parts.
Current prompt, feedback, output.

Put those 3 together with the optimization prompt, and you're good.

By feeding these 3 parts together with the optimization prompt you'll run a feedback-tweak cycle, making it better and better. All of which is hosted natively in PandaPrompts.

Introducing PandaPrompts

To help you produce prompts, test them, and optimize in a fast, easy and straight forward manner - we built a free tool for you.

We call this tool PandaPrompts, and it's free to use from us.

All you'll need is an API key with OpenRouter, so that you can generate output using their API (you need a credit card to use OpenRouter).

You can sign up for OpenRouter here: https://openrouter.ai/

To help you create, test, optimize and save prompts, you can use PandaPrompts.

Using this tool will speed up your process in creating prompts as this entire process is built into it.
